Your first consultation will last 60 minutes. I will ask some questions concerning your medical history and your lifestyle, check your pulse and tongue and I will apply needles to specific points on your body bearing in mind your main health complaint.
Do acupuncture needles hurt when they are inserted? Generally we associate needles with pain but generally this is not the case with acupuncture! Acupuncture needles are fine as a hair. You may feel a slight tingling or warmth sensation, or a dull ache that lasts less than 30 seconds. These are what we call "De Qi" sensations.
